Friends of Saint Photios honor the memory of the first Greeks who came to the New World each and every day by supporting the witness of the Orthodox Faith and Hellenic Culture that takes place at Saint Photios Greek Orthodox National Shrine.

The Saint Photios Shrine Friends program is a component of this nonprofit organization. All Friends activities serve the broader goal of helping raise awareness about the Saint Photios Shrine – Are you counted among the Steadfast Stewards of Saint Photios Shrine?

St. Photios Shrine is an exempt organization as described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Your support enables the St. Photios Foundation, Inc. – the governing body of the first national shrine of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America – to maintain the Saint Photios Shrine and fulfill its mission to witness our Orthodox Christian faith, to share the Hellenic Culture and to honor the memory of the 500 Greek colonists who came to America in 1768.

The Shrine is located in the Avero House, located at 41 St. George Street in the colonial quarter of St. Augustine. It is a place of serenity and remembrance, sharing an unparalleled perspective on our cultural heritage.
